Every fall/winter my mom fills up the house with this scrumptious smelling potpourri. The best thing about it (besides the fact it reminds me of my mom) is that it’s all natural and doesn’t bother my environmental allergies and sensitivities to fragrances.
Small handful of whole cloves
2-3 cinnamon sticks
2 bay leaves
Place all ingredients in a pot and fill with water. Place on stove and once water is hot, place on simmer. Enjoy!
Note of caution. Keep an eye on the water level. If water evaporates, mixture will burn. Not only will this ruin your pot, but it will fill your house with a not so pleasant, not so fall, potpourri smell.
